Jewellery Care Instructions

We use high quality 925 sterling silver, which is a super durable metal. This means you can wear your jewellery pretty much anywhere, but is still prone to the natural process of oxidisation, as well as scratching from daily wear. Here’s a few tips to follow to keep it looking at it’s best-

Regular Cleaning: Sterling silver can tarnish over time due to exposure to air and moisture. Regularly clean your sterling silver pieces with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any tarnish or buildup. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as they can scratch or damage the silver.

Storage: When not wearing your sterling silver, store in dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Consider storing it in an airtight bag or jewellery box to prevent tarnishing and scratching.

Polishing: If your sterling silver is showing signs of oxidisation, you can gently polish it with a silver polishing cloth, we stock one here, https://argusstudios.com.au/products/silver-polishing-cloth

Avoid: Limit exposure of your sterling silver jewellery to chemicals, including perfumes, cosmetics, hairspray, and household cleaners. Also care to prevent scratching or damaging your sterling silver. Avoid wearing it during activities that may subject it to abrasion, such as gardening or heavy lifting.

Ring Size Guide

If unsure what ring size you are, there are a few methods you can use at home to find this out.

If you already have a ring that fits well on the same finger you plan to wear the new one, you can measure the inside diameter of the ring with a ruler. You can then use this measurement to find your size on this ring size chart.

You can also take a piece of string or paper and wrap it around the base of your finger where you intend to wear the ring. Mark the point where the string or paper overlaps and measure the length, this is the rings circumference. Use the ring size conversion chart to determine your size based on the measured length.
